OIE reported West Nile virus (WNV) and the disease is continuing to spread across the country. In August, the Hellenic National Public Health Organization (EODY) OIE reported that the number of fatal cases rose to 10, while the number of confirmed infections increased to 96. EODY has warned that further outbreaks of the virus are expected in the near future.
