OIE reported a sudden increase of mortality in pigs due to African swine fever (ASF) in the states Lagos and Abia. The outbreak started in February with minimal fatality, in May/June the number of mortalities increased drastically. The affected population is in a large pig farm settlement that feeds pig markets within and outside the country. Three other states report the same pattern and await laboratory confirmation.
