OIE reported African swine fever (ASF) virus found in backyard pigs, outbreak in Shan State.

OIE reported Ehrlichia canis in a village in Kununurra, Western Australia, 6 dogs affected. The disease is transmissible to humans through tick bites. Further surveillance in the dog population will be undertaken. Ehrlichia canis is not an OIE-listed disease, however, due to the pathogen’s importance as a trade-related and zoonotic disease, Australia has submitted this OIE notification.
