The State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise will take place from 23 to 26 May 2022 on foot and mouth disease (FMD), highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and African swine fever (ASF) in the Boletice Military Training Area. This will include theoretical and practical training of administrative personnel in co-operation with the Veterinary Military Service. The aim is to apply emergency measures in line with contingency plans for FMD, HPAI and ASF.

The Agriculture and Food Board of the Republic of Estonia informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on foot and mouth disease (FMD) would take place on 25 May 2022. The objectives are to practice fieldwork, operations management, and other tasks in the event of an outbreak of FMD.
