OIE reported highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in red fox.

OIE reported foot and mouth disease (FMD) in beef and dairy cattle, mostly back yard farming cattle, serotype not determined.

The National Director of Animal Health for the Republic of Panama informed the OIE that a Simulation exercise for new world screwworm will take place from 24 to 27 May 2022. The aim is to train the personnel, test the response programme and the new technological screwworm surveillance tools, as well as analyse the impact of a new world screwworm outbreak on the livestock sector.
