WOAH reported highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in Apače. Four young mute swans were found dead in a pond.

WOAH reported highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) on a farm with laying hens in Haskovo. 

The Director of Animal Health of the Republic of Guatemala, informed WOAH that a simulation exercise to test response effectiveness in the event of an outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) in pigs will be conducted from 23 to 26 October 2022 in the Municipality of La Antigua Guatemala, Department of Sacatepéquez.
