WOAH reported rabies virus in Melilla, in a dog suspected to come from Morocco.

WOAH reported rabies virus in Melilla, in a dog suspected to come from Morocco.

WOAH reported highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) H5N1 in a peregrin falcon and mute swan. 

WOAH reported rabies virus in a badger in the Municipality of the Jabloň. The badger was observed with behavioral changes, on which it was euthanized and the body sent to laboratory for testing, samples confirmed rabies and showed a high percentage of homology with rabies viruses circulating in Poland, Ukraine, and Hungary, case close to Ukraine and Poland border. Emergency vaccination of susceptible animals has been done.
