West Nile virus (WNV) cases reported in Eastern Oregon. This year there were 5 cases in humans, in Harney, Deschutes, and Malheur counties. There were also 4 cases in horses and about 80 mosquitos found carrying the disease.

A human has tested positive for West Nile virus (WNV) in Chester County. According to the state officials it is the first case of WNV in the local area in some time.
