West Nile virus (WNV) cases reported in Eastern Oregon. This year there were 5 cases in humans, in Harney, Deschutes, and Malheur counties. There were also 4 cases in horses and about 80 mosquitos found carrying the disease.

For the first time in 2019, a human victim of West Nile virus (WNV) has died of the disease in Lucas County, according to the Lucas County Health Department. This is also the first death from the disease in the state this year.

Mosquitoes carrying the West Nile virus (WNV) have been found in 6 Pennsylvania counties: Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, and Philadelphia.
