OIE reported highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus H5N8 on a bird farm in Plovdiv.

OIE reported a sudden increase of mortality in pigs due to African swine fever (ASF) in the states Lagos and Abia. The outbreak started in February with minimal fatality, in May/June the number of mortalities increased drastically. The affected population is in a large pig farm settlement that feeds pig markets within and outside the country. Three other states report the same pattern and await laboratory confirmation.

OIE reported low pathogenic avian influenza (LPAI) H7N1. Two outbreaks involved commercial farms of turkeys in the province of Treviso.
