RITA 2021 – International Conference on Rabies in the Americas – online event

The International Conference on Rabies in the Americas (RITA) 2021 will be held on-line from October 26th-29th 2021.  

This international conference takes place annually and brings together experts working in the field of rabies. Held since 1990, RITA has evolved to the world´s biggest event focused on rabies and provides a forum for discussion and updates from the Americas and other countries around the world. The 32nd edition will be held in virtual format, with simultaneous translations to at least three languages – English, Spanish, and Portuguese – and the schedule will accommodate ​different time zones.

RITA´s objective is to present and discuss recent research studies and/or developments on aspects related to monitoring, control, diagnosis, and prevention of rabies. The target audience is comprised of researchers, members of the academic community, professionals from regulatory agencies, students, and public health professionals. The conference, which focuses the One Health approach, is an excellent forum for productive interactions among scientists, physicians, veterinarians, government employees in the field of public health, wildlife biologists, and other biomedical professionals. RITA provides a unique opportunity for learning experiences regarding the latest developments in the field of rabies, as well as the possibility of establishing contacts with colleagues from all around the world and of raising and divulging the profile of sponsoring agencies in the global scenario.
